Sprucing and decorating the streets before Parthasarathy Swamy starts on the procession. Women decorate the streets with `Kolam.'

terrywhatlee said...: I like this picture a lot esp the even geometric distribution of the ladies creating the kolam - at roughly 120 degree orientation with each other but working on different kolams.
