Inside there were more of them. It was about noon and quite hot, these guys just lay there sleeping -- some of them had their eyes open but seemed to be dazed. I was able to walk right up to them and click away.  Posted by Picasa

Read your piece on the langurs of the area of Ranthambore.
Just an aside on "chhatris" - These are not resting places in the physical sense;-)
Chhatris basically mean a roof or a canopy and in Rajsthan they are in large abundance to demarcate them as a cenotaph for a dead person whose cremation maybe took place at that exact spot.
