At the Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kanchipuram. I feel the pic conveys the feeling of power that the elephants allow humans to control.

You know what this time when I went to Kanchi a bunch of foreigners climbed this elephant and did all manner of sheshtais. My father asked me if I wanted to also. But it is a temple elephant - not an elephant meant for a joy ride so I refused.; Sun Apr 16, 09:42:00 PM 2006
