A shopkeeper assembles baby walkers - remember these used to be popular in the 1960s and 70s. Every house with a baby just beginning to walk would have one. I think they were called `Nadai Vandi.' Later plastic took over. But there still is a market for the wooden ones and the shopkeeper says these help a baby walk better. I believe him. Took this pic in Parry's. Posted by Picasa

wonder who buys them. As you said, have to believe the shop keeper. Else, why would he continue making these things. Devaraja Mudali Street?
